Peggy Jo (Metzger) Dender, 63, passed away on December 3, 2019 in Tallahasee, FL.
She was born in Monticello, Indiana on September 19, 1956. She was preceded in death by her mother (Everal), father (Harold), and loving husband Randy.
She is survived by her sister, Lorna, two sons, Ryan (Ashley) and Michael, and three grandchildren Reed, Cade, and Bailey.
Peggy graduated from West Lafayette High School, where she was a dedicated and gifted athlete in track, and held the 220 yard dash state record. Peggy married Randy Dender, her high school sweetheart, on June 12, 1976. They were marrried for 36 years, until Randy’s passing in March 2012. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bird watching, swimming, and spending time in God’s word. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 9th at 10:00am at Wildwood Church, 100 Ox Bottom Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312. Following the service, friends are cordially invited to visit with the family in the church fellowship hall.
