EARLVILLE —Ralph P. Waits, 62, of Earlville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, (note: 2018) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born Dec. 1, 1953, the son of Chester and Nancy (Teeter) Waits. He married Mary Ann Stout on Dec. 3, 1977, in Bloomington, Ind.
Ralph worked at McDonald's Corporation in Oak Brook since 1974.
He enjoyed riding his bicycle, reading, investments and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, of Earlville; two daughters, Amy Lynne Waits, of Hillsboro, Ore., and Heather (Ken) Ward, of DeKalb; three grandchildren, Seth Williams and Jim and Kieran Ward; two sisters, Sally (Steve) Russell, of Utah, and Theo Barber, of Indiana; two brothers, Bill (Cheryl) Waits, of Texas, and Barry (Ruth Ann) Waits, of Indiana; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ric Waits.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with the Rev. Theo Barber officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Ronald McDonald House.
