Colleen Stump


Colleen "Connie" Stump, 69, of Lafayette, Indiana passed away December 3, 2011 at Rosewalk Village.

A native of West Lafayette, Connie was born on August 31, 1942.  She graduated from West Lafayette High School and attended Purdue University.  She was married to David E. Stump on November 4, 1961.  Connie retired from Purdue University's Department of Psychology in 2008 after 29 years of devoted service.  She enjoyed taking an active political role to support local, state and national candidates.  Connie also served as a volunteer for the local Cancer Society.

She is survived by her husband, David E. Stump, children Michelle Ellrich, Bret Stump, Steve Stump and five grandchildren.  Connie was a well educated, passionate woman who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  "The belief that peace is desirable is rarely enough to achieve it.  Peace requires responsibility.  Peace entails sacrifices." - Barack Obama
